Sodexo Corporate Services North America is seeking an Chef Manager for our premier, upscale client, USAA in San Antonio, Texas. Sodexo provides services to about 24 locations within the USAA corporate complex, including 6 cafes, multiple company stores, c-stores, high end-catering and retail brands.
This position supports all facets of daily culinary production including overseeing the garde manger department and catering production as well as overseeing the development of kitchen employees. The best qualified candidate will have excellent leadership experience and a focus on safety and sanitation and quality and standards. We are looking for someone with great communication and training skills. This is a high-level culinary management role but will also be hands-on as needed to support operations.
This Chef Manager position is an exciting opportunity for any existing Lead/Sous Chef looking to further their career while maintaining a valued work life balance in a patterned Monday through Friday environment. Previous experience in garde manger preferred but not mandatory. Areas of focus pertain to working directly with the other on site culinary team experience in menu/production systems and overall IT skill set proficiency is also a preference but not mandatory. Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
