Sodexo is currently seeking a high-performing Food Production Manager III for a high-profile and large volume operation within Memorial Hermann Healthcare System located in Houston, Texas. Memorial Hermann is a level 1 trauma center with 938 licensed beds and an average daily census of 785.  The position requires food safety certification, HACCP knowledge, ordering food and supplies, food preparation, supervision of culinary team, monitoring of food production, food cost, labor cost, budget, catering skills, client interactions, creativity and innovations. Menu promotions, and flexibility with work schedule for special events. Continuing training on Sodexo policies, menu programs, new food concepts, and training team members. 

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Must be organized, hands on, food production experience, knowledgeable with food and labor cost, with a proven record for managing food and labor cost controls to meet financial targets
  • Strong background in daily food production including production planning and controls
  • Knowledgable with Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality
  • Solid financial understanding of food cost and inventory management
  • Experience with on-line ordering and inventory management
  • Focus on food and physical safety and sanitation
  • Ability to inspire and develop a strong culinary team to assure food quality, menu, recipe, techniques, menu developing, food & labor cost
  • Demonstrated experience providing strong leadership, including supervision, direction and training, to a diverse team
  • Focus on customer service excellence
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Professional and good communication skills
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Focus on customer service excellence
  • Working knowledge of Food Management System (FMS) is a plus! 

Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
