Sodexo is currently seeking an energetic General Manager 2 for Environmental Services / Custodial  at

UH Regional Hospitals Bedford and Richmond Campuses.  Position will office out of the Richmond location, acute care facility. Richmond is a 60 bed acute care and 40 bed Behavorial Health Facility.  Bedford is 250 beds. The position will be responsible for the management of the Environmental Services Departments within two hospitals that are part of a larger health system. 

 

The successful candidate will oversee the ES operation for the hospital managing a team of 50 employees. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years previous Sodexo Manager level custodial or housekeeping experience in a hospital or healthcare environment. Proven results in positively impacting HCAHPS and patient satisfaction, superior interpersonal skills and a track record of being highly integrated with the ability to build relationships throughout the organizations they have previously worked at is a must. Must have experience with joint commission inspections and be completely familiar with all regulations governing hospitals, to include biohazard waste and pharmaceutical waste. This position will lead a staff of front-line hourly employees, and will report directly to the District Manager.  Also, a proven Sodexo background with our UOS (Unit Operating Systems), TRAKKAR, ENGAGE, FOSS, CARES and demonstrated organized leadership style and drive for results.  Will need to hold all employees and management team members accountable for results on a daily basis to be successful in this role.   

 

You will need to have exceptional communication, unit financial, interpersonal and technical skills are necessary. This individual must have good knowledge of Sodexo EVS operating systems.  Overall, will need to motivate hourly staff and maintain cleaning quality to a very high level. Driving client engagement and patient/employee satisfaction is essential for the success of this role. Additionally, the ideal candidate for this position will have prior experience in successfully achieving consistent, high levels of customer satisfaction with patients, visitors, staff and multiple key clients. The selected candidate will also need to have the ability to hardwire systems in order to ensure a sustained effort of achieving standards and she/he must be diligent with follow through and visibility within the hospital.
