Sodexo is seeking an experienced Catering Manager 3 for the University of Findlay, a private university located in Findlay, OH. 




Sodexo's universities segment is seeking a hand on and creative Catering Manager 3 for our catering operation. University of Findlay has had dynamic growth in enrollment and the diversity of academic offerings, including the addition of graduate programs. Total Enrollment for 2017-18 was 3,792 with approximately 1,250 students living on campus. This position reports to General Manager and will assist in managing $700-800K in catered revenue -  on and off premises catering, events throughout campus with various size meeting and banquet rooms from 10-600 seats along with an indoor track that can seat up to 2000 people for a banquet.


Responsibilities will include:  Overseeing events, working with clients, working with culinary staff for menus and recipes and bringing creativity to the table.  Catering Manager will also have responsibility over HR functions to include: hiring, training, scheduling and motivating staff and oversee alcohol ordering and inventory.  


 The ideal candidate will have:

  • Casual and fine dining banquet management experience;
  • Experience training and leading a catering staff;
  • Experience writing, costing and pricing catering menus;
  • Experience with labor control systems;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
