Senior SAP Functional Analyst (Sodexo, Inc., Cheektowaga, New York): Works primarily in ERP client/server enterprise application. Responsible for software integration, external interface development and technical documentation. Designs and develops most aspects of data conversion. Troubleshoots and resolves testing issues. Individual contributor that is fully proficient in applying established standards. Works independently; may instruct or coach other professionals. Serve as a resource dedicated to the SAP Sales and Distribution Module. Contribute to the design and implementation of SAP business solutions. Translate end-user system requirements into system designs and solutions and effectively collaborate with business partners, sponsors and the internal IT technical group. Serve as a key resource for day-to-day and on-going activities in the SAP subject domain. Will regularly apply the following: Strong working knowledge of SAP Sales and Distribution Module; Detailed understanding of the SAP component area relevant to SAP Sales and Distribution, Finance and Procurement; Experience with SAP Contract Management, Pricing, Order Management, Tax, Outputs and Reports; Thorough understanding of integration amongst core SAP modules like Finance including the Special Purpose Ledger and Procurement; Knowledge in Service Management and Resource related billing is a plus for this role; Knowledge of systems and/or business analysis design concepts; Demonstrated proficiency in the applied use of systems and process analysis tools. Facilitate interactive design and functional specification sessions. Carry out detailed system design and write specs for development. Perform configuration changes and/or prepare design specifications for ABAP programs. Apply strong analytical problem-solving and conceptual skills to analyze and evaluate major SAP business requirements of varying complexity taking into account all parameters affecting and interfacing with the SAP system. Diagnose problems and determine effective solutions. Respond quickly in a rapidly changing business environment. Translate business processes and requirements into system enhancements. Analyze processes for possible future systems improvement and suggest alternative solutions. Interface with internal customers to identify areas for systems improvement. Define controls, conversion procedures, and systems implementation plans. Act independently and under very general direction to define, implement, and document SAP system changes in support of business process solutions. Express complex technical concepts in business terms using technical writing and system documentation skills. Work effectively with others in developing and implementing new processes and enabling systems. Work with end user groups to define application needs and identify feasible solutions.
Minimum requirements are: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of each of the following: (a) experience with Information Technology operations or infrastructure; (b) basic management experience; and (c) experience in SAP. All experience can be gained concurrently.
Special Skills: Must have: (1) Certification in SAP Order Fulfillment Modules; (2) Ability to design and provide solutions for SAP Sales and Distribution Modules; (3) End to end implementation knowledge and configuration expertise with one or more of the following SAP modules and components: ALE (Application Link Enabling); ASAP (Accelerated SAP); MM (Materials Management); CA Cross Application; CO (Controlling); CO-PA (Profitability Analysis); EDI; FI (Financial Accounting); MDM (Master Data Management); PS (Project Systems); Workflow/Webflow; SAP Crystal Reports; SAP Retail; SD (Sales and Distribution); (4) Experience with 2 full cycles of end to end implementation of multiple SAP solutions. Cross SAP module integration skills; (5) Strong decision making and solid experience with package software implementation methodology and tools; (6) Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and quickly identify root cause of issues, then provide steps to resolution and recovery of impacted transactions; (7) Experience working with all levels of the organization, both technical and non-technical.
