Seeking a sales driven, dynamic, and inspiring Conference Center Sales Manager for New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM!
Sodexo Conference Services is looking for an energetic and aggressive Conference Center Sales Manager to lead our business development efforts for the conferencing program at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM. The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the sales and marketing efforts for the conferencing program by developing budgets, executing plans to meet and exceed established goals, managing client relationships, developing and maintaining an aggressive marketing plan, building deep relationships within the community along with leading and developing the sales & planning team.
This Ideal Candidate will have:
- direct prior experience in space & catering sales for a large, complex hotel, conference center or similar venue.
- excellent organizational and communication skills
- an entrepreneurial spirit and a high degree of accountability.
- strong interpersonal skills and forging deep relationships with current and potential clients are critical to success – expanding conference sales from within the local community and from nationwide resources.
- the ability to establish, execute and exceed goals, positive leadership and developing a strong team will also be vital to success.
Our Conference Center offers multiple venues that can meet every event need – including Corbett Center Student Union, Villanueva Victory Club is located inside NMSU’s Stan Fulton Athletics Center, NMSU Golf Course Clubhouse, Pan American Center and other venues. Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
