Sodexo is looking for an Operations Manager in the New Brunswick, NJ area. This is a show case account in Business & Industry. The operations manager will be responsible for the over-site of the Cafe, the Starbucks coffee bar, a Micro-Market, Catering and the Child development center.


Responsibilities include managing the day-to-day food operations,  ensuring HACCP programs and safety requirements are met, menu/recipe compliance and implementation, catering, HR functions including staff training and scheduling and ordering and inventory.  Also, successful candidate will maintain a high level of client satisfaction!  Position will directly supervise up to 10+ frontline (hourly) non union employees.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • a background in retail
  • have a strong financial acumen
  • a tech savvy background

In addition this candidate will have strong culinary skills, management experience, solid knowledge of HAACP/food sanitation, excellent client relations and leadership skills.  Will also have a passion for providing excellent customer service,  hospitality focused and strong sense of culinary knowledge and client contact interaction daily.

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
