Sodexo at St. Mary's Hospital-Jefferson City has a great opportunity for an Executive Chef to manage the culinary operation at this great hospital.  St. Mar​​y’s Hospital - Jefferson City opened in 1905 as part of a faith-based healing ministry of the Franciscan Sisters of Marya 154-bed, full-service community hospital located in Missouri’s state capital. The hospital features a dedicated inpatient pediatric unit, a Wound Center and Outpatient Treatment Center​. Other services offered at the hospital include emergency services, cardiology, orthopedic care, cancer care, outpatient surgical services, maternity care and women’s health. The hospital moved to a new, state-of-the-art building in November 2014.  
The Exceutive Chef utilizes the Sodexo Food Managment program, prepares nutritious patient meals using the Sodexo program Expressly For You, and in the retail operation utilizes the Sodexo National Retail Menu, Simply To Go and mutalized promotions to ensure customer satisfaction as as assists in the development of catering menus.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Primarily manages culinary aspects for patient, retail, residential dining and catering in a union setting.
  • Supports other members of the management team.
  • Daily client interaction.
  • Completes food service ordering using Sodexo systems.
  • Develop and grow the menu for the dining area as well as catering while managing and controlling food costs and offering high quality service to the residents and guests.
  • Supports cash handling policies and procedures as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance
  • Manages the Food Management System (FMS).
  • Inventory Management.
  • Provides technical training and expertise, coaching and leadership to the production team while working side by side in the operation as needed.
  • Responsible for growing relationships with key client contacts. 
  • Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards at all levels and participates in the audit process. #ACF2017
 

 

Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
