Sodexo has an exciting opportunity for an Executive Chef 1 primarily in the Minnesota healthcare market! This is a resource position that will report directly to the district manager and may travel to surrounding states if necc. (Sodexo will cover the cost of all travel expenses).
The Executive Chef 1 will have direct responsibility for production leadership, as well as occasional retail (cafeteria) and patient services oversight. The Executive Chef will work in partnership with the Nutrition Services management team to support the client's mission. Working closely with the management team, the Executive Chef will develop creative ideas for increasing service delivery and ensuring an outstanding patient and guest experience.
A commitment to operational excellence standards, willingness to coach and develop others, and team-mindset will encourage success in this position. Technical skills include high levels of proficiency with data reporting systems and Microsoft Office; menu forecasting, planning, and production; inventory management systems and cost control; and absolute commitment to safe food handling practices, qualities, and standards. Additionally, the Executive Chef will partner with the management team and client leaders to ensure production standards continually exceed expectations of patients and guests.
Shifts will include evenings, weekend, and holiday rotations with the management team.
Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
