Sodexo is seeking a skilled Executive Chef 2 for Sinai Grace Hospital in the Detroit Medical Center system located in Detroit, Michigan. Sinai Grace Hospital is a 350 bed acute care hospital with  “Expressly For You” Personal Service Dining (EFY) patient operations

 

The successful Executive Chef candidate should possess strong culinary and food management skills.  The best qualified candidate must be able to self-manage, be innovative in meeting the nutritional needs of patients, retail food service and catering guests and have at least 2 years of experience in a food production management role. 

 

The Executive Chef will be responsible for:

 

  • Purchasing and receiving of food and supplies
  • Monitoring inventory
  • Maintaining food production records/cost indicators
  • Planning and costing menus
  • Controlling labor costs
  • Ensures that all HACCP standards are followed
  • Managing, training and developing 30 union client food production employees
  • ServSafe Certification is required

 

 

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree 
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
