This position will support the Director of Finance for Balance Sheet/Cash Flow Reporting with the activities below and any others as needed. This position will support the VP of Treasury with the activities below and any others as needed. This position will be based out of Gaithersburg, Maryland.

 

§ Responsible for supporting the monthly/quarterly actual reporting - providing Treasurer with actual reporting from HFM. Providing analysis and written explanations to Corporate FP&A on actuals comparable to budget/forecast for Capex spend, DSO trending, LGO and any other items requested. Providing support to segment finance with any questions on reporting of Capex, DSO and other indicators.

§ Manage Balance Sheet, Capex & Cash Flow Forecasting/Budgeting Process - Working with segment finance to gather, review and load forecast and budget data into HFM. Develop North America balance sheet and establish assumptions on working capital based on YOY trends. Work with Treasury in supplying forecast/budget information on cash activities, balance sheet, long/short term debt, interest expense and tax implication in order for Treasurer to calculate LGO. Annual DSO Targets, work with Treasurer on establishing and communicating DSO targets for North America and Segments.

§ Responsible for North America Net Interest Expense - prepare and review Net Interest Expense actuals, forecast and budget. Prepare interest schedule for actuals and ensure accuracy of journals loaded into SAP, reconcile account balances on balance sheet and provide BFSC true up entries to rectify accounts. Work with Buffalo Financial Service Center on quarterly interco billing to & from group treasury for guarantee on bonds, ILA and guarantees on LOCs. Work with treasury, risk management, benefits and group treasury departments on Net Interest Expense forecast and budget. Ensure forecast/budget is complete and accurate and load to HFM and essbase (budget only). Provide Quarterly Business Review analysis on Net Interest Expense to Corporate FP&A.

§ Other Reporting including but not limited to: North America Real Estate Reporting - provide monthly actual rent expenses booked in SAP to Treasurer. Working with 3rd party vendor Mohr on updates to changes within Sodexo hierarchy. Providing Treasurer and Segment leaders with quarterly segment reporting on overhead offices and currently on Strategic Plan 2016 committee to downsize or close overhead offices. Department of Commerce reporting on monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Ad Hoc requests from segments to complete RFP and GSA requests for potential bids.

§ Manage the Employee Disaster Relief - issue funds to employees based on approved applications for disasters, prepare monthly bank reconciliations and work with CPA on providing documentation for yearly tax returns.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of related professional experience
  • Strong financial acumen, including operational and financial planning
  • Strong knowledge of Sodexo’s financial systems (SAP, HFM, Sonar and etc.)
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and communication skills, and an ability to respect deadlines
  • Flexible and pragmatic, able to deal with complexity
  • Strong business ethics

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA and Public accounting experience
  • Fluency in French is an advantage
  • Ability to build strong relationships with all levels of organization to work effectively across the organization
  • Strong Data management and analysis skills

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's degree in accounting, business, finance or related field.

Basic Functional Experience – 3 years in accounting, finance or a related field.
