Sodexo is seeking a Senior Area General Manager for UMASS Memorial Health System located in Worcester, MA. Strong focus is on exceptional quality and service.  The Senior Area General Manager is Sodexo’s primary account representative responsible for all aspects of the account - catering, retail, service, production, sanitation, customer service and financial performance.  Experience managing in a diverse environment and prior experience using LEAN Six Sigma methodology is a plus.   #LI


The successful candidate must drive results through sound programs and systems for all the accounts and foster a culture of inclusiveness that will allow the managers in this highly energetic environment to succeed and grow.  This will include responsibility for:


  • Robust patient experience initiatives. Food and Nutrition is engaged in process improvement initiatives (A3) with the Patient Experience Senior Leadership Team. Improved 3rd party outcomes are paramount to the success of the organization and Sodexo’s future. 
  • LEAN True North Process Improvement Vision 2020 Roadmap “to be the best place to give care and the best place to get care”
  • Employee Engagement: This is demonstrated by how well our frontline team members communicate our process improvement initiatives and if we are exceeding our goals and how well are we utilize frontline employee ideas to continuously better our programs.
  • Retail Standards

Creative ways to drive revenue and drive customer satisfaction


Drive consistency throughout the entire system


Utilize SDX programs to drive retail sales for all locations and creativity with special theme days to provide variety to our standard menus
