Sodexo’s School Services Division has and exciting opportunity for a Food Service Manager in a large urban district in Springfield, MA.
The Food Service Manager will oversee food service operations in twelve schools and reports to the K-12 Operations Manager.
Our ideal candidate will be a focused and passionate food service leader with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team and pro-actively communicate will be required. Strong organizational skills, experience using Excel, and building and maintaining relationships with vendors and purveyors. National School Lunch Program (NSLP) is a plus.
Your success will be measured by:
- Ensuring that all Sodexo safety and HAACP standards are adhered to
- Controlling food costs and waste
- USDA compliance

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
