Sodexo Schools Division has a great opportunity to join the dynamic K-12 team in New Orleans, LA as a Chef Manager. The Chef Manager will manage 5-6 school sites with 18-20 employees. We are looking for a candidate that is a strong culinarian and customer focused and wants grow their career.
This role will oversee several schools within the district, providing excellent client relations and coaching a staff of food service workers while serving breakfast, lunch, catering to students daily.
Day to day, this role will be responsible for serving the National School Breakfast and Lunch Program, and overseeing cafeteria operations. Specific duties will include supervising front of the house operations as well as the food production staff, purchasing and receiving food and supplies, monitoring inventory and data entry in our financial system.
Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter with stellar communication skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Strong financial and analytical skills mandatory for this position. Experience managing a food service team in an education environment is strongly preferred. Exceptional client relations and team building skills a must!

Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
