The Sodexo Future Leaders Internship Program offers an exciting opportunity for currently enrolled college students to turn their leadership skills into a valuable professional experience and get a head start on their careers with a FACILITIES MANAGEMENT internship.


Through practical work experience at Fort Wayne Community Schools, the intern will acquire the management skills necessary to succeed as a Facilities Manager/ Operations Manager with Sodexo.


The internship will be designed to give the student experience and skills in the core areas of Facilities Management including:


  • Operational management;
  • Mechanical and maintenance tasks working with the facilities engineers and managers;
  • Environmental Services and grounds maintenance;
  • Project Management.


The intern will be assigned a MENTOR and participate in professional development webinars.  


Finally, they will conduct peer training and assist the management team as needed with ordering supplies, quality assurance checks and controlling inventory. Interns are supervised by, and report to, a General Manager.

This full time (40 hour/week) summer internship will take place at Fort Wayne Community Schools in Fort Wayne Indiana.

Basic Education Requirement - Current college student with studies in hospitality/food management, facilities management, engineering, communications, human resources, accounting, marketing or another industry related college program.
