Sodexo is seeking a Food General Manager 3 for one of our Corporate Services accounts, AJ Gallagher, in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.  This manager will be responsible for oversight of the full dining program (totaling $1.5M in managed volume) at a corporate headquarters that offers breakfast, lunch and high-end catering to a building population of 1500.

 

This newer headquarters facility is state-of-the-art and the executives at AJ Gallagher are strong partners to Sodexo who are also looking to expand in the near future.  The General Manager will have total oversight of one location and will provide leadership and development to one Executive Chef and 16 Sodexo-paid, non-union frontline (hourly) employees. 

 

Catering (which comprises 550K of the total managed volume, about 50K per month) is a key deliverable and expectations are at a high premium for the customers and clients we serve. This location hosts several evening high-end catered events (inclusive of coursed and plated dinners and cocktail service), and flawless execution of events is expected. 

 

The ideal candidate will need to be focused on food as this is an Artisan account specializing in chef-driven, seasonal and farm-to-table culinary concepts. A strong ability to manage and articulate financials in a proactive fashion is also important.  Being detailed-oriented, well-organized, and having proven communication skills (written and verbal) along with possessing strong planning skills are critical to the success of the position as well. 

 

While this a Monday through Friday position, flexibility to work evenings is required in order to ensure successful execution of all evening, high-end catered events.
