Job #76218 - Sodexo is seeking a Dining Room Manager (II) for Mease Manor in Dunedin, Florida.  This is a 400 Resident Continuing Care Retirement Community with a spectacular waterfront location on the St. Joseph Sound just off the Gulf of Mexico; a small quaint town between Clearwater and Tampa. Our location has beautiful bay views with spectacular sunsets and a great setting for our Five Star Restaurant Dining!


In this role, you manage the Independent Living Dining Room and will assist with catered events. Your position works closely with the management team on; menu development, resident relations, employee training, and innovative dining activities. You oversee 10 wait staff and a hostess, food quality and food safety, the daily operations of the dining room, food and labor cost controls.  Position provides training, supervision and support, works with employees to continually improve performance and resident satisfaction; manage all dining events with enthusiasm while providing hands-on guidance during resident and client functions to produce outstanding dining experiences.


Your Skills Checklist for this position:

Some College / Trade School, Servsafe Certified

Front of the house upscale dining and wait staff training experience

Skills to: interview, hire, train, schedule, and develop 10 wait staff

Computer skills to work in excel, word & PowerPoint

Servsafe Certified and knowledge of HACCP monitors

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks is essential

Catering experience along with outstanding hospitality skills

A flexible leadership style for a multigenerational workplace environment

Experience in retirement community / country club / restaurant fine dining is ideal!


Schedule; 8am-6pm with rotating weekends and holidays

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent 

Basic Management Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
