Internship opportunity for you! (FULL TIME - 40 HOURS/WEEK)

 

Sodexo Universities is seeking a SUMMER Food Service Intern to work in all areas of food service operations at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL! This position supports the on-campus dining team daily with retail, resident dining and catering operations.  Embry-Riddle is the world's largest, fully accredited university specializing in aviation and aerospace. Sodexo manages 11 food service units including Starbucks, Chick Fil A, Freshens, Einsteins Bros Bagels, and an all you can eat buffet.

 

In this role, the Food Service Intern will interact with internal team members, client stakeholders and customers. This person will have a high level of customer contact and and must be comfortable assuming a leadership position during service and events. This position requires strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Some prior food service experience is a plus!

 

The successful candidate will be paid $12.50/hr and will work 40 hours per week.

The Sodexo Future Leaders Internship Program offers an exciting opportunity for currently enrolled college students to turn their leadership potential into valuable professional experience and get a head start on their careers.

 

Through practical work experience on site, the intern will acquire the management skills necessary to succeed as a Food Service Manager with Sodexo. The intern will be assigned a MENTOR and participate in professional development webinars. They will also gain practical experience in food production, administration, finance, retail, service, marketing, safety and catering management. Finally, they will conduct peer training and assist the management team as needed. Interns are supervised by, and report to, a General Manager.

This FULL TIME (40 hour/week) Summer Internship will take place at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL.

Basic Education Requirement - Current college student with studies in hospitality/food management, facilities management, engineering, communications, human resources, accounting, marketing or another industry related college program.
