Retail Food Operations Manager with strong culinary skills need on the campus of University of New Haven in West Haven, CT

University of New Haven is an urban college campus with high volume residential and retail components.

We are looking for a manager with strong leadership skills and strong culinary and service experience who enjoys leading from the front.


Focus of unit is on maintaining the standards for sourcing, prepping, cooking and creating an exciting food environment for students in unique restaurant focused campus concept. Strong process, systems and creative presentation skills are needed to be successful at FOD


Experience leading service, execution of concept principles and consistent focus on excellence are needed.

Experience with being out on the floor, student engagement and strong overall communication skills are required. 


Interacting with the campus community, cooking classes, special events, and chefs tables are some of the experiences we are looking to hear about from our candidates showcasing past situations used to build the team and increase customer counts and satisfaction. 

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations.
