Sodexo has a career opportunity available in Torrance, CA for an Environmental Services\Custodial Operation Manager 3 for Harbor- UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, CA! Harbor-UCLA is a 512-bed public teaching hospital founded by the County of Los Angeles, and serves as the level I trauma for adult and level II for pediatric trauma center in South Bay area. Harbor-UCLA includes the leadership of over 180 employees and nearly 2.3 million square feet; this facility is a fast paced, union environment with multi language employees. Seeking Bilingual candidates, the ability to communicate in Spanish would be helpful in managing this workforce. Relocation is not offered at this time.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a Hospital environment, strong client/employee relationship-building skills and possess the ability to manage direct reports in multiple locations on the campus, handle multiple priorities, quickly grasp situations and logically progress through solutions, the ability to refine systems ensuring sustained effort of achieving standards, and follow through and visibility within the facility. Demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge of Environmental Services operations in the Healthcare as an Manager, Sodexo programs and systems (TRAKKAR, UOS, Gold Checks, etc) as well as customer and employee relationship skills. Strong project management, analytical, communications and computer (Excel, Word and Power-Point) skills are needed for this role in conjunction with a comprehensive understanding of Sodexo’s corporate and CARES cultures.

- Fluent in Spanish a plus but no required

- Previous floor-care experience in a Hospital
The “Hands-On” manager primarily handles day to day operational functions and ensures unit level, corporate, employee relations, safety, training, and unit operating systems compliance. Managing in a strong union environment is a plus but not a requirement.
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of work experience in Housekeeping, Environmental or Custodial Services
