Sodexo is seeking a skilled and experienced Food Operations Manager 1 to join our Campus Services Team at Menlo College – a longstanding partnership of over 45 years. Menlo College is a small private College in Atherton, CA – near San Francisco. The Menlo College program has approximately 800 undergraduates. The Operations Manager will oversee Sodexo’s Food Student Dining venues as well as Catering- totaling over $2M.

The successful candidate will have the drive and ambition for continued career growth and have:
- Previous background in large volume Food Retail management experience with multiple units a plus. Sodexo experience preferred. OR a stellar background in other Food Retail management overseeing multiple operations.
- Have solid overall background in Catering, Resident Dining and Food Retail concepts and be well versed in culinary trends/standards– a “jack of all trades”.
- A strong background in excellent operational performance, leading a team to greatness as well as demonstrated Employee Engagement, delegation and mentoring skills.
- A passion and commitment to providing a welcoming dining experience to our students and leading a team focused on high level of customer satisfaction.
- Have attention to details that make a difference – Perceptive and Pro-Active - quality and presentation of food – customer service
- Solid understanding / experience of Sustainability initiatives and be an active part of the campus community – student government, food recovery program, service missions, etc.
- Seeking Bilingual candidates - the ability to speak Spanish will be helpful in managing this work force

Menlo College, located in the heart of Silicon Valley, is a private school with a growing student population. The campus is located on the commuter train route and holds direct access to San Francisco and San Jose.
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
