Sodexo is seeking a Unit Marketing Specialist for our Oauchita Baptist and Henderson State University accounts in Arkadelphia, AR.  Candidate will work directly with unit managers on each campus to direct and execute all internal and external communications and drive strategic alignment with client organization's internal marketing goals.


Candidate will need to have public relations experience, be well spoken, possess excellent writing skills, creativity, ability to assist with growing top line sales, social media skills, web site development skills, be innovative in regard to out of box thinking, ability to communicate and build relationships with trade publications, newspaper, television, client marketing department, create articles for publication. Ability to train, develop, and lead  professionals is a plus.


Job duties include, but not limited to:

  • Planning and executing implementation of all marketing rollouts
  • Training of national marketing programs to support unit operations and new sales
  • Participating in individual as well as team projects for marketing department
  • Conducting financial analysis and developing concepts and ideas to drive utilization of unit programs
  • Tracking financial outcomes and rolling up financial numbers for corporate report purposes
  • Work on marketing initiatives for food service such as: surveys, merchandising, national programs and pricing
  • Retail Client Liaison for marketing needs in all retail locations at both accounts Manage direct reports
  • Coordinate and schedule appropriately to maintain payroll costs and savings, including of sharing resources when needed between departments
  • Train and provide performance coaching to develop and prepare employees for next level
  • Coordinate  and implements all unit marketing initiatives to drive sales growth for both unit accounts on and off campus
  • Leads all written communications throughout all channels
    • Social media accounts, websites, eCommerce, university and community communications
  • Coordinates unit specific strategic business plan/marketing plans and its implementation, communication and evaluation
  • Maintains and tracks research, customer feedback and satisfaction and reviews statistics and trends with appropriate personnel
  • Gather, track, analyze and report on results of marketing initiatives
  • Identifies needs and makes recommendations for increasing sales
  • Identify and clarify intern/external customer needs and expectations, taking actions to ensure that Sodexo and customer goals are aligned and met
  • Prepare plans for projects or major assignments
  • Creates and distributes monthly marketing calendar
  • Participate in marketing conference calls and training
  • Targets product compliance as it relates to marketing efforts such as printing, graphics and advertisings 
  • Organize, plan, and manage marketing needs for concessions and community events
  • Customer Service ambassador for all areas
  • Customer Service training for all employees and new hires
  • Client relations
    • Develop and maintain client and university department relationships
    • Resolve customer complaints quickly and effectively
    • Develop client presentations and facilitation as needed

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
