Sodexo Universities is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Retail Manager for Samford University, located in Birmingham, AL! This position will support three retail venues operated by Sodexo - which includes a small Food Court, Starbucks, Einstein's and Freshens with over $1.8M in annual volume.
The Retail Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of the strategic marketing plan that aligns the university's strategic plan with dining services. The Retail Manager will handle marketing roll-outs and training to support the retail operations. The Retail Manager will ensure our retail operations aligns with students expectations, customer satisfaction, sales growth and overall enhancements to the program. The ideal candidate has 2-4 years of food retail experience.

The Retail Manager will:
- Provide a marketing plan to drive sales and tie to the budget
- Maintain brand standards
- Have daily client interation
- Be responsible for the growth of retail sales
- Develop the marketing vision in conjunction with the General Manager and primary client on campus
- Provide marketing that is pro-active and not reactionary based
- Make recommendations for future program development
- Support large catering events on campus

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations
