We are seeking a Patient Transport Manager for Shelby Baptist supporting Environmental Services in the Birmingham area.  The successful candidate will be responsible for management of 13 employees in the Patient Transport department and will also support work in EVS with custodial projects and some day to day operational duties.  This is a Day Shift opportunity (8:00am start).  Must have previous experience with the Tele-Tracking, understand transports role in patient throughput and  have previous experience in transport training and safety procedures.  This is a 225 bed hospital in Alabama.  A strong dynamic personality would thrive in this environment, to also include strong managerial skills and the ability to work across various departments with other leaders.  Preferred candidate will have a progressive track record in EVS, housekeeping, and/or Patient Transport.  


The ideal candidate has recent experience managing a patient transport program, understands the importance of patient satisfaction, is able to evaluate and recommend improvements to help improve patient satisfaction. Responsibilities include: participation in and directing the patient transport operation, employee rounding and interaction with the patients, their families and the nursing staff, ensuring proper transport procedures & staff training.

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree 

Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in functional areas such as call center technology, computer applications, process improvement, or related areas
